Ada Çayı - Wild Sage from Mount Ida, HINDIBA (25g)
Wild Sage (Ada Çayı) originates from the high altitudes of Turkey's Ida Mountains (Kaz Dağları) in the northwestern Aegean region, where it is traditionally hand-harvested by experienced mountain collectors. The region is known for its aromatic wild herbs, clear mountain air, and pristine nature. Through gentle sun-drying, the wild sage develops its intensely spicy, Mediterranean aroma.
The sage grows wild in rocky high altitudes and is collected only in limited quantities. The careful wild harvesting and traditional processing give the herb its characteristic quality and robust herbal aroma with slightly resinous and Mediterranean notes.
Wild sage is versatile and is appreciated both as an aromatic herbal tea and in Mediterranean cuisine. It pairs excellently with vegetable dishes, fish, lamb, pasta, soups, or baked dishes. Ada Çayı is also ideal for herb butter or spice blends.
