Vintage sardines ("Millesimato") are among the special delicacies of classic tinned fish. The Italian producer Pollastrini from Anzio has been processing sardines using traditional methods since 1889 and specifically selects catches from a single vintage for this edition.

The sardines are fished exclusively in the autumn months, when they have reached their optimal fat content. This results in a particularly juicy, dense texture. Preserved in olive oil, they develop a harmonious, rounded flavor profile over time.

Fine salty taste, clear and balanced, with a soft, almost melting texture. Ideal pure, on toasted bread or as a high-quality ingredient in Mediterranean cuisine.
