"Vintage" Datterini date tomatoes come from Campania and are grown on fertile, volcanic soils around Vesuvius. These small, elongated tomatoes are known for their distinct sweetness and their particularly clear, aromatic profile.

Compared to classic San Marzano tomatoes, Datterini are significantly fruitier and softer in taste. Their natural sweetness and subtle, barely perceptible acidity make them an ideal base for balanced, elegant sauces.

After harvesting, the tomatoes are gently processed and preserved unpeeled in tomato juice. This ensures that their structure, juiciness, and full aroma are best preserved.

The Il pomodoro più buono stands for carefully selected tomatoes from Campania. The harvest takes place at the optimal ripeness, after which the tomatoes are processed directly and preserved at a controlled temperature. The goal is to preserve the original taste of the fruit as authentically as possible – clear, intense, and typical of the region.
