2019 Ziereisen - Schulen - Blauer Spätburgunder (Baden)
The Ziereisen "Schulen" 2019 comes from the Hanspeter Ziereisen winery in the southern Markgräflerland in Baden. The region is known for its calcareous soils (Jura limestone) and the mild climate near the Swiss border – ideal conditions for expressive and profound red wines with character.
Vinified from 100% Pinot Noir grapes, spontaneously fermented and bottled unfiltered, this wine shows a silky mouthfeel, clear fruit notes of cherry and wild berries, fine spice notes, and an animating acidic structure. It was aged for 18 to 22 months in used oak barrels – without filtration or fining.
An expressive Pinot Noir for dark meats, game dishes, or hearty vegetarian cuisine – complex, precise, and with excellent aging potential.
